Installed this in my Z71 Suburban that hauls the family around. We used it while driving half way across the US (twice) and it works as advertised. A little slow at loading but I have not had a single skip with it even when going off-road. As previously mentioned there is no S-Video output. I wired the entire thing up to switched power and it still remembers the position of the movie. Only thing I have to do is turn up the volume each time. If you need an inexpensive solution then this is it.
UPDATE: It is now August 2012 and the unit is still working great. We have yet to have a problem with it play discs, resuming, etc. Only negative we can say is the volume has to be adjusted each time but that is minor.
