I use this in my RV, coupled to my theater system. The subwoofer is not powered, the theater system just has an active subwoofer output, which requires a powered subwoofer. This between the theater system and the subwoofer worked excellent.
I push 2 subwoofers, 6 inch each, 4 ohms each, and this unit does a remarkable job. After a three hour movie fest the Sound Storm is warm to the touch, but not hot. There is no crackle, pop or hiss through the speakers.
I would like an on-off switch as there are times when watching TV that a subwoofer is not required.
I am satisfied with this purchase.
