well i had a 1 farad cap before n it help a little with dimming lights , only reason why i had it . now i got this 5 farad thinking it would help more than the 1 but it only help about the same as the 1 . i only got it for the price , i though it was good. it takes some time to hook this thing up between the cables and the end connectors. may be a more expensive one works better or may be people should do the second battery thing and dont waist money or time on this caps. i got 2 kicker L5 with a 1000 watt hifonics brutus amp with 4 gauge wires.
