We have been moderately impressed with the SSL overhead unit. It was easy enough to install and it has performed pretty well. The kids like the big screen, the 13inch screen is the real draw to this unit. IR headphones work well. The unit does have speakers but they are not loud enough, IR headsets are a must have if you are considering this unit. The FM transmitter is not great. It works but not well enough to use for any amount of time.Picture quality is average, for the price and application it does just fine.The USB and SD card ports do work. The unit does not support MP4 video files only XVID.If you want the larger screen and can dedicate yourself to purchasing the IP headphones this is a good way to go.
