This is a very capable and small amplifier. I have used this in my regular cab ford ranger on a small subwoofer (about 75 watts) to add another level to the deep tones of my music. I was not in the market for an ultra-powerful, break-your-windows, rattle-your-license-plate subwoofer amplifier, so this has done just that.

The box came with all of the necessary wiring and the instructions were a little cryptic (if you’re not familiar with electrical or audio terminology). Installation was easy and it was rather quick once I had all of my wiring sorted out and connections tested.

If you choose to buy this amplifier, here’s how you can wire a subwoofer:
1. Once you have decided where to mount the amp and the subwoofer, disconnect your vehicle’s battery. It’s no fun to be electrocuted by DC.
2. Make sure to connect the ground wire from the amplifier to a position on your car’s frame (no paint, no undercoating). If you are unsure where a spot a like that may be, simply make an internet search and there are multiple forums for every make and model that go into excruciating detail.
3. Connect the red (positive) wire to your vehicles battery posts, not through a fused source. Make sure to have an inline fuse (no more than 20 amps) from the battery to the amplifier’s fuse.
4. Connect the orange (positive/remote) wire to your stereo’s ignition/amp wire. If your amp wire does not have any current when the vehicle is in the accessory position, use the stereo’s power wire.
5. Once all of your connections have been made, connect your subwoofer’s audio wires to the corresponding wires on the amplifier.
6. Connect your audio/subwoofer wire to the amplifier’s low output connection and then to your stereo’s subwoofer input.
