These speakers are designed to compliment a bigger system. If not part of a system with a sub do not expect a ton of bass from there. The frequency response is not designed to go below 78hz, so a high pass filter (hpf) of 80hz is ideal for optimal performance.

Likewise, the guy who said they are not worth 5 let alone 25, because HIS set blew after HE decided to put 200 watts to each speaker did not understand the specs. Yes it says these are rated at 250 watts, however that rating is NOT per speaker. One has to use a little common sense when dealing with these matters. No "cheap" speaker (under $100) will ever put out that kind of wattage (maybe a sub, but a speaker, NEVER). These are a pair and the wattage is per pair, so they put out bout 125 watts, but again that can only be done safely if tuned properly using a hpf. Putting a 80 watt RMS amp to these while sending it frequencies below 78hz will blow the speaker at some point.

I say all this to inform others that people leave negative reviews because they didn’t understand the item and therefore, it did not perform as they expected. Those who do understand the design and capabilities of these speakers and use them within those margins have a great experience.

These are good speakers for the money and purpose they were designed for!

Highly recommended if on a tight budget and replacing factory speakers. If going to use with an amp, I’d recommend no more than 60 watts RMS per speaker AND using a HPF crossed over at about 80hz!

Crisp, clear, and impactful sound!
