I use this for sending composite video to the TVs in my room, and even though my job of taping the leads of the power cable to that of the AC adapter was ghetto and probably fragile, I have not had a single issue with this device since installing it. TVs need very low power from a composite video to work well (mine do at least), so I didn’t even have to adjust the gain levels. The device I received looks different than what is pictured, but even if I did care about that, it’s buried so deep in a rack I can’t see it anyway.
