I saw a review of a person saying they tested this cap and it is only a .5 Farad. I can safely say the person either did the test wrong or had a detective one. I cannot confirm if it is a full 3.5 or not but I can say it does work! I am running a 1200 rms Alpine amp with a 300 Watt 4 channel Alpine amp for my sound system along with xenon HID headlights with both low beam and fog light sets on at the same time. I also have interior and exterior underglow. basically I am pulling a LOT of power. When I used to pound my subs hard my dash lights, my headlights, and my underglow would all do a very obvious dim. With this cap there is absolutely 0 dimming. I have a digital voltage meter up in my center console too so I can monitor my voltage and I have never seen my voltage drop below 12.5 with the engine on and that is when I am idling at a red light on extremely hard bass hits. Otherwise it maintains a Nice 13.5-14.4 all the time. Again I can’t confirm if it is a full 3.5 but it does a great job balancing the voltag. I don’t have an amazing battery I but I do have a somewhat decent battery. It is a die hard gold edition 750 CCA. so It’s definitely not doing much in itself like an optima or AGM would do. Overall I say anything under 2000 rms this will work perfect!
