This is a great entry level amp that powers my 2 Kicker Comp 10’s well bridged into 2 ohms. The subs are rated at 350 watts max power each (700W combined) and this amp is rated at 2600W bridged at 2 ohms…but does not overdrive the subs. If you buy this amp thinking that it is going to run 2600 watts then you will be disappointed. If you are familiar at all with car stereo then you should know that you get what you pay for. If you need a little more bass for a smaller sub install this is perfect for you. I have an Eclipse head unit, this amp, a 2 farad capacitor and an Optima battery installed in my 2007 Trailblazer SS and I am pleased with it. I replaced an older Kicker Impulse amp with this when I upgraded to 1 gauge power wire because the Kicker overheated and was not stable at 2 ohms. I listen to a variety of music with some bass but my system was not meant to produce bass that could be heard from blocks away. This will show my age but I think that the Beastie Boys “Intergalactic” sounds great through this system…even from about one block away.
