First is the cons : These 8" Subs don’t have the binding posts like the ones shown in the picture. No big deal I suppose. The outside box says "Engineered in the U.S.A." yet there’s a "Made In China" sticker on the side of the subs. No surprise, can’t find a toilet plunger that’s made in America anymore.
The "Pro’s" : I bought 2 of these along with a new Boss Audio PT1000 2 channel amp. I’m taking it easy during the break in period but I can honestly tell you that these subs sound AMAZING even at a lower volume. I’m totally impressed !
In all fairness I have purchased an entirely new system for my truck and since I’ve always had great luck with Boss Audio and SSL products then I saw no reason to change now. Boss Head Unit 508UAB–Boss door speakers NX654–Boss rear speakers P69.4C–Boss 7 band Equalizer AVA1210–2 Boss PT1000 Amps–One for the subs is bridged, the other is for the front/rear speakers. The system is Phenomenal !!!
It sounds excellent in my truck and I didn’t have to break the bank to buy it ! I highly recommend using the wiring diagrams provided or go on line to make sure your connections are correct. Use the thickest gauge wiring whenever possible.
This is my 3rd Boss/SSL System (in my 3rd truck) and I seriously recommend it to anybody who wants a great system that won’t set them back a fortune. Rock On !!!
