This is one interesting product. Two of our cars already have factory installed nav systems and it wouldn’t make sense to add this in. we had one that was older and decided to give it a try.
Let me just start out saying this. I received it as a reviewer model so it was free.
Installation was fairly cheap and were I not so limited in my abilities I could have done it myself. They had to buy some adapters but total cost of a flawless installation was very cheap.
The BAD:
I have an Smart Mirror which I’m very fond of. I’m very fond of it in the way you might be of your favorite (whatever inanimate object). The integration didn’t go well. It’s not a big deal b/c you could still use the main console which is how it’s supposed to be used, I’m just used to my rear view mirror so this is a minor peeve and nothing more.
Other than than, I have no complaints.
It took them about a day to get the right parts and mounts in (and when I say they did a good job, i mean they did an absolutely flawless job.
Pairing and using it in every other regard was fine. B/c it wasn’t OEM, then control through the steering wheel wasn’t easily doable (or so I was told but the RC that it comes with was more than sufficient.
The Disk Changer I had integrated well, and it can make use of both CD’s and DVD’s.
Here’s the takeaway. This isn’t a brand I had heard of . I wasn’t in dire need of a soundsystem for my track toy but was more than excited to give this a try. If you haven’t heard of the brand, keep an eye on it, if this is any indication of that quality they put out (and quality for price is amazing), then they are a company i’ll be doing business with again for sure….
