Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").
A Dual voice coil subwoofer provides more wiring configuration possibilities. If you add additional subwoofers, wiring configurations can be easily matched to optimize the amps power output. Power handling is also increased. Dual voice coil subwoofers are ideal for medium to high-power applications.
Sealed Enclosure
This subwoofer will operate well in a sealed enclosure that will yield solid, tight bass. You can either purchase a pre-fabricated enclosure or build one to suit your installation needs. Sealed enclosures are relatively easy to build and are the smallest enclosure the subwoofer is designed for.
first off these are not competition subs if the lack of info doesnt tell you then the price should i was an installer back in the 80's and 90's for a large car stereo shop out west when the boom first started showin up and these are built better than most back then would i throw a thousand watts at them HELL NO unless i had 2 more to replace seriously someone said something about comps they sound good if wired right with large gauge wire for less resistance etc. i wired them to my foz amp that was running my 2 fozzy 12's they hit nice but bottomed so watch gain levels and tune your system build a box recomended size and you can hang with guys that spent way more than you dont do a proper setup and wait for the sizzle and smoke show pretty much a common sense thing

audio noobs! this is brutal for price
all these idiots stating its no good,or cant handle 90 watts? etc dont know what there doing. ive been a long time audiophile about 6-7 years now, i very much so know about everying there is to know about subwoofers. this woofer is great, not a competition grade but will bang good. in a 2.0cu ft sealed or 32hz tuned ported it will sound its prime.i have had it on about 300-350rms and it seems just dandy. gets a bit warm but its normal. DVC 4ohm easily wires down to 2ohms, coil is 2.5" the only downfall i see from this woofer is its excursion abilitys. it doesnt move very far without actually bottoming it out id presume, the rubber surround is very un beefy and the spider is the biggest dissapoontment, its spider is that of the size from a typicall 12" subwoofer. either way, i baught two of them so far. ill keep coming back untill i have all 6 of the 15's by SSL. VERY pleased overall for the price-perfomance ratio. best ull get in the audio world within a $50 price range, unless a used item off craigslist perhaps. two pictures uploaded are by me.

Awesome
I bought these about a week ago (6/15/2013) and they were fantastic. You really can't go wrong with buying these unless you want something that will last for 2+ years. This subwoofer is pretty insane when you bring the price into account. I Accidentally blew them about 3 days after I installed them because I was running them with 4200 watt lanzar vibe 2 channel. I figured it shouldn't matter to have a few extra hundred watts running to them, but the subs couldn't take it so they blew. Anyone who is reading this, don't think that this sub is junk! Buy it right away before they sell out...GOOD BUY! Thanks for reading!

Looks the part but could not handle under preasure.
It looks great in a box, but it could not handle 700RMS watts of power (It's rated at 900RMS). The coil burned up after just 2 hrs. The price is right, but don't put more than 500watts to it. This is good for the person who wants a clean deep bass, but don't think you can shear it with the world.

great for the money
i've got 4 of these running in a home made box off a kicker ZX1500.1, in a ford explorer with no sound dampening and it sounds pretty good. i'd recommend this product for basic setups, only because i kind of doubt that these aluminum coils could actually take 900 WRMS. i've got them running at about 250WRMS (each) right now, and i can get the coils pretty warm.

great sub
I bought this sub and at first I thought it was gonna be a weak one. But was I wrong it has a heavy hit to it. I recommended wiring it the right way though.....cus even the best of subs blow if too much power is put to it. I definitely recommended this to someone looking for a hard hit for a low price.

They are not what you realy expect
These subs are not what you really expect! They look good and make a joyful noise when hooked up but, put some real power to them and you will be back on Amazon buying more because you would have blowed them to HELL! They can't handle serious power...at all!!!! I hooked them to a amp that puts out 500W RMS and that was the last time I played them now I have to buy more DAMN!!!!!!! If you simply just wanna nice bump while you rolling..KOOL..they can do that but, if you wanna compete....buy something else!!!!!!????!!!!????

ssl 15 inch sub
Ok, i know there are a bunch of people that have bad reviews on stuff like this sub. They dont know what there talking about. I bought one of these with ported box with the lanzar 2000 watt amp(really about 800 to 1000) and everything was about $190. This sub rocks. I have had JL Audio, Kicker, and many others and if its hooked up right then i will put it up against any of them. For the money you cant beat it. So if your on a budget like me you cant go wrong i will say use the best wire you can get for hook up. piece.....
