Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65.
There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.
Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website?
The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65").
The lowest impedance accepted by this amplifier is 1 ohm. Amplifiers that are 1 ohm stable produce the most power possible from the amp. An amplifier capable of delivering power at a 1 ohm load is usually reserved for serious subwoofers that can handle the power. Please note this particular amp needs a healthy electrical system including a low gauge wire capable of delivering the necessary current.
Class A/B
Class A/B amplifiers have long been known for their ability to produce great quality sound while performing more efficiently than pure Class A amplifiers. We have developed a specific linear circuitry that further reduces distortion while increasing both sound quality and power output.
Fixed High Pass Filter
Fixed High-pass filter gives you the ability to filter the frequencies that pass through to the full range speakers from a fixed frequency point.
High and Low Level Inputs
An amplifier with both high-level and low-level inputs provides flexibility by allowing you to build an audio system using virtually any standard factory or aftermarket source unit. High-level (speaker level) inputs accept the signal from the speakers, while low-level (RCA) inputs accept the signal from the pre-amp outputs of the source unit.
MOSFET
MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor. MOSFETs are used either as a switch or to amplify a signal. MOSFETs are superior to other FETs, because they require less current to operate, which makes them better suited for car audio.
Protection
If the amplifier gets too hot, the thermal protection circuit turns the amp off and allows the amp to cool down before turning it back on. If a speaker fails causing an electrical short, the protection circuit will automatically cut the output and remain in that state until the short is resolved. These safety features give you peace of mind knowing the amplifier is constantly monitoring conditions to protect itself.
Subwoofer Level Control
The ability to boost or attenuate the sub level when an amp and subwoofer are connected to the subwoofer pre-amp output.
Variable Bass Boost
Variable Bass Boost allows you to adjust the low bass within the boost range to just the way you like it.
Variable Gain Control
Variable Gain Control lets you balance the amps output with the speakers or subs the amp is driving. To much gain will lead to distortion and to little will lead to clipping.
Variable Low Pass Filter
Variable low-pass filter gives you control over the frequencies that pass through to the subwoofer.
I hooked this amp up to 2 Alpine SWA-12S4 Bass Line sub-woofers (750 watts each) at 2 ohms totaling the peak power output on this amplifier and they pound very hard. Now mind you, I'm kind of an audiophile when it comes to sound and I despise anything less than clear highs and deep, pounding bass. When I think of bass, I think of sub-woofers that can make my chest vibrate. This combined with the 2 Alpines does exactly that. I would definitely say that I'm getting the power output that I truly want in this amplifier and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs 1500 watts of power for their vehicle.

I bought this amp. a year ago. I have it pushing one L5 15 and it sounds great. I haven't had a lick of problems. For the price i don't think you can beat it.

Still A Great Amp
So it doesn't have 2 fuse slot and a bunch of fancy adjustments, if you want all of that why look at cheap amps? Anyways, It's still a great amp, doesn't get hot or have any annoying distortion and it packs a punch! It definitely won't disappoint you.
Here's a link to see the real picture.

Impressive Amp. Must Buy!
I did an install with two 10" subs wired in 2ohms and this amp. The Amp is very well built. Despite the other comments complaining about this amp, I disagree with them. The other reviews are griping about the tiniest details. For more detailed reviews on this amp look on sonicelectronix.com they have reviews of this amp that reflect it more accurately.

Highly Recommended
So I have had this amp for about two months or so. This is the first amp I have purchased and I've got it screwed into the sub box in the back of my Subaru Forester. It's pushing one twelve at 2ohms, a JL 12w2v2 to be exact. While it may not be 1500watts, 1000 watts, or probably not even 500 watts most of the time, it still hits pretty damn hard. Everybody knows when I am getting home because they can hear me comming down the street. I researched a lot of amps before I bought this one, and this is definetly the right choice unless you are doing competitions or are trying to shatter a windshield. While it only has one channel (hence MONOblock), I'm sure it would bump two 4ohm subs pretty hard too. The only thing it's missing that would be helpful is an RCA passthrough - have to get an adapter to hook it up to my fosgate that's powering four 6x9s. All in all great amp for the price, very pleased with my purchase.

Looks good, performs okay
Bought this amp for the price, low risk investment. Just finished wiring it up to two Hifonics HFX12D4's at 4 ohms (3.7 to be exact) and I have to say the specs were overrated as expected. Doing some very rough math with a multimeter I came out with about 100 watts at 4 ohms. (not 100% accurate, didn't use a sine wave hz tone and went with average volt output)Despite the lack in advertised power the amp seems to function very well, and it looks good doing it. After about half an hour of what I'd say was pretty heavy use it was still cool to the touch and I haven't noticed any quality issues with it at all.Overall if you're looking for an amp that will push around 200 watts at 4 ohms I'd say this will work for you. Right now however, my 400 watt 12's are starving for more power. Soundstorm doesn't seem like a bad company, the quality and appearance is there. It's just missing the power.

One of the best amps I ever used
I have had the ssl 1500 mono for about 2 months and it has went way over the expectations that I ever had for the amp. I have it hooked to a compition power acoustic and it's rms is around 1500 to 1700watts and the amp don't shut off and does get hot. The bass knob comes in really handy to for bass compitions. Would highly recommend this amp to anyone

Not 1500 Watts but Still Good Quality
I did an install with 2 of these amps each running to a 15 inch Lanzar and have had no problems at all. Yes i know they don't deliver the 1500 watts but if you notice the fuse size then you shouldn't expect the 1500 watts. Overall, this amp doesn't overheat, powers both subs efficiently and is low in price. I recommend purchasing if you know how to install it correctly.

it's just an ok amp...
So I bought this amp to power and 8 inch Infinity reference sub that i also bought off amazon. It has no where near 1500watts peak power. It pushes my sub pretty well but no way is it maxing it out. The fact it only has one fuse slot really is the dead give away of it's power capabilities. For $80 it's not a bad deal, but I kinda wish I would have spent a few more bucks and bought the kenwood mono amp on here. So far the amp has run cool which is one perk to it and it does have plenty of adjustments for fine tuning on it. If you want to push more than a 10" sub, get yourself a better brand

Amazing
This is one hell of an amp to have. I've got it powering two alpine 12s that run 500 watts rms each and my subs can barely keep up. I'm not even sure I'm tapping into the full potential of the amp either because it pulls and puts out so much power that my car can't really keep up. With this amp it's time to add in another battery or a capacitor.

1500 Watts LOL.
Got it powering a 400 RMS / 800 Peak sub at 2 ohm load. Seems to be just enough. Purchase accordingly. Can't complain, I bought it after reading the reviews and I knew it was WAY overrated for output.Great price.

Great Amp
I have had this amp for about a year now,no problems, sounds good. Pushing two 12s in a single enclosure,it hits like a sledgehammer. Just make sure to use large good quality power wire.
