the best sound quality and most power

I have tried several different comparable systems in the $100-$150 range & the Sound Storm SMC90BB has, by far, the best sound quality and most power. Absolutely blasts on city streets & I have no issue hearing the sound loud and clear at 65 MPH. So far it has worked great in wet (rain) conditions as well. Easy to install and I especially like the wired volume control. The only improvements I would recommend would be longer speaker wires, a bracket for the wired volume control, and an independent on-off switch. These were not an issue for me as I was already set-up for this but I can see someone installing a stereo for the 1st time needing these.

Tough little dudes.

These were super easy to install and so far have lasted great on trips to and from Wisconsin (we live in Chicago). They're extremely durable so far, and have held fine in slight rain and regular wind conditions. I usually ride in the city so have easy access to hide from the elements, but it's still nice that these will take a beating every once in the while when I'm on the long expressways.

The sound is loud and I'm always able to hear my music, whatever I'm playing. So far so good and at the price I'd say these are a great option for "lower" end bike speakers.

Soundstorm labs has a good option for outdoor equipment sound systems

My husband put this on one of the farm Polaris CUV's since installation is beyond what I would able to do. He was able to install it on a ranger using the roof system as the mounting position for the speakers. It installed easily enough - basically clamp the speaker to the roof support bars, make sure to use the included rubber strips to get these to clamp securely or you will be remounting these with the rubber strips again once they slide down. Wiring was simple as it all goes to one plug that attaches to the amp. This does mean you will be mounting all 4 speakers. And since the wiring is together in a harness, some thought is required as to where you put the speakers and a good route to where you want the amp installed. The amp install is simple as it basically needs power (12vdc) and not a lot else. It does come with a handy audio input jack so you can use something like an old iPod for audio input. It also has BNC inputs if you have say a radio that you would want to connect to it so there is some flexibility there. The Bluetooth hook up was simple and works well, but again do not hide the amp behind a lot of metal or this may not work to well.

As far as fit and finish, the only thing I can knock this on is the quality of the clamping hardware finish, but being on a rough duty vehicle this is actually okay.

The bottom line is: Overall installation is simple, and the unit is easy to use.

Great sound

We installed this stereo in a motorcycle and we are very impressed with it. It was easy to install and the directions were very clear. It took less than an hour to install. With the remote it is easy to change between songs. The system doesn't take up much room and looks great when installed. I was skeptical about the sound quality with being on a motorcycle but I can hear it perfectly fine and it sounds great. The speakers are weather resistant so I hope they hold up for a while. So far they have held up in the rain with no issues. I'll revise my review if anything changes. For the price this is a great steereo to own.

Piercing, Well Made Speaker System For Your Bike

This is a fairly powerful little speaker setup with a small footprint amp that goes on bikes, atvs etc. It is meant to blast out lots of treble to compete with the air and engine for your listening while riding.

Set comes with 4 speakers, one amp (1000w max), handle bar brackets, and some wiring.

Firstly, the speakers are quite heavy and feel like good quality. These are weatherproof and are meant to work, and stay working, even in the rain. What these won't resist against is a soaking. Don't let them soak in any water (needless to say). The outer wire shell is made of metal.

The amp is small (~3" length) and is able to be mounted to various places on your bike. I set it up on the inner rim of the front flair.

Wiring is simple and straightforward. They all wire to the amp, just place the speakers in an appropriate place and organize the wiring as best as you can to keep it nice and organized. I would suggest have a pair of wire cutters on hand so you can adjust the wire cover should you need to extend it out a bit (when running to/around your battery terminal, for example).

This does come with a remote that is hard wired to the amp. Simply leave it hanging somewhere, or in a front pouch and you can use this to adjust the volume.

There are two ways I used to connect music here. My preferred method is AUX in, because there is no 'downsampling' to the music. Moreover, with AUX in, you can listen to any music format you want (.FLAC, for example). However, bluetooth was easy to connect to and worked fine with iPhone+Pandora. You see the device, once the bike is on, and you connect to it. Simple and easy.

All this being said, the main point of these speakers is volume and clarity. Well...this it does have....

Great looks and sound

We hooked this up to one of our ATV's and it's great. Very good sound quality and turns up plenty loud to hear it when you're in the fields and the combines are running. Easy to install, just took a few minutes. Looks good too and doesn't take up much room.

She thinks my tractors sexy.

These were installed on my tractor since I spend a lot of time on it either mowing the lawn, plowing or other chores around my property. They are weather proof so I had no issue with putting them on my tractor right now. I will have to see how they are if I'm out plowing snow, which hopefully is at least a couple of months away before I have to do that, but it has snowed here on Halloween before. I will revise my review if they do not hold up in the cold. They were easy to install and they sound good. I really am pleasantly surprised with how good they sound. It's nice to be able to listen to bluetooth while I'm on my tractor since I seem to spend a lot of time on it.

Affordable, durable sound system

I had my brother install these speakers and amp on one of his ATVs — or rather he insisted because he didn't trust me to do it properly myself. (It seemed easy enough, though.) The sound is pretty good, and for the price and durability (withstanding Oregon rain) I'd say it's a great system. The bass doesn't blow you away, which could be positive or negative, depending on your perspective. I would have expected just slightly stronger low frequency performance, but it's still respectable for the cost.

Way to many wires that needed to be connected to a Bluetooth. In the picture it doesn't show wires, but there was wires for every speaker.
